Most hurricane damage starts with a failed window. Broken glass lets wind, water, and pressure into the home. Impact windows prevent that: two panes bonded by a laminated interlayer that stays in the frame even when the outer pane cracks. Every impact window we install meets Miami-Dade NOA and Florida Product Approval standards.
Impact glass is insulated glass. The laminated interlayer and a Low-E coating cut solar heat gain and block most UV, so rooms hold their temperature and interiors fade more slowly. The frames are thermally efficient as well, which is what stops the air conditioning from running against the window all afternoon. Rebates for energy efficient windows change by utility and time of year, so check with your local electric company or call us.
Installations we perform are covered by our lifetime warranty, and we support it directly. If something needs attention you call the office and we resolve it, with no third party claim process in between. The windows and doors themselves carry their manufacturer warranty, and as a PGT® Diamond Dealer we help you file those claims.

Florida code requires impact-rated windows in coastal zones for a reason, pressure equalizes through the weakest opening, and a failed window is usually how a roof comes off. We install PGT® WinGuard, the most-installed impact line in the state, with Miami-Dade NOA and Florida Product Approval on every model we carry.

Weather Tite Windows recently replaced our old windows with impact windows. The 4-person crew did an outstanding job. Can’t say enough good things about this company. Anyone looking to replace windows should absolutely consider them!

We know getting your questions answered and working with a company you feel comfortable with and you can trust is important. Included below are answers to the questions homeowners ask most often during the process, covering products, warranty, financing, timelines, permitting, and HOA requirements.
Impact windows are built with laminated glass, two panes bonded by a structural interlayer, and reinforced frames designed to stay intact during hurricane-force winds and debris strikes. Standard windows break on impact, which allows wind, water, and pressure into the home. Florida’s building code requires impact-rated products within one mile of the coast for this reason.
We stand behind both our products and our workmanship. Weather Tite Windows offers comprehensive warranty coverage on installation and partners exclusively with industry-leading manufacturers like PGT®, whose products are backed by robust manufacturer warranties.
